We take the hard work out of searching and comparing car hire. You enter your criteria and we find the cheapest price from over 40 different car hire suppliers.
After booking your car with the chosen supplier you will receive a printable voucher from the supplier. This Voucher or “Ticket” contains all of the important rental information to allow you to find your car hire supplier and to allow you to collect you car.
Certain cars and vehicles may be supplied with an insurance policy that allows you to claim back any excess you may be charged if you accidentally damage the vehicle during the course of your hire.
Some local suppliers chare an excess locally (When you pickup the car) this may be reclaimed once the vehicle is returned in the condition that you collected it.
It is very important to point out and have documented any defects in the vehicle at the time of hire. Should you have an accident it is important to obtain a local police report and fill out the relevant accident forms.
We will then refund the excess upon receipt of the relevant documentation.
Child Seats, ski racks, Snow chains, Roof racks or Luggage top boxes will either be payable in advance or locally depending on the supplier.
A winterisation fee is charged in some countries mainly Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France to cover additional equipment that may be required on the vehicle during the winter season.
If you are hiring a car in the UK, Europe, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia your car rental agreement will include cover for: CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), also known as LDW (Loss Damage Waiver), Third Party Liability and Theft.
There may be an Excess on the CDW and Theft part of the rental agreement. Occasionally car rental providers will offer a ‘zero excess’ policy. If you wish to reduce your excess to zero you can do so at the car rental counter when you collect the vehicle or via a 3rd party company such as Insurance 4 Car Hire.
If you are hiring the car in the USA, Canada, the Caribbean and South America, it is generally the case that your car rental will not include insurance. The renter must purchase CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)/LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) and Supplemental Liability Insurance. This is sold at the car rental counter and will cost between US$ 20 and US$30 a day.
Excess is an amount payable to the car hire company that may not be included in the CDW or LDW. Excess cover is available to cover this either locally or may be booked online depending upon supplier.
Its up to you – But if the vehicle is Lost, Stolen or damaged you may be liable for an excess charge.
