Situated in between Lake Moondara and the town after which it is named, Mt. Isa Airport is an increasingly busy air hub in northwestern Queensland. It connects with a number of destinations across the state and the beyond. Traffic has doubled in the past decade to more than 170,000 passengers per year. The terminal offers connections to Darwin, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Townsville and a number of other smaller destinations. It is situated four miles north of the town centre, with car rental in Mt.
