Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

If you are coming from Paris, you can conveniently get on the TGV and get there in no more than 90 minutes. Before arriving, be sure you have booked for car hire in Amboise for more convenience.

One of the best ways to get around in Amboise is with your own vehicle so you can also explore the attractions beyond the town and in the surrounding countryside. In town, make sure you do not miss out on the local attractions such as the Chateau d'Amboise, the 1775 Pagode de Chanteloup, and the Clos Luce where Leonardo da Vinci once lived.
