Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Avallon is a small town located in the French region of Burgundy. It may not be considered a travel destination but it does offer its fair share of tourist sites that are worth a day trip. Some travellers consider it a suitable travel base for exploring the Yonne department and the rest of the region. Avallon comes with a rich and colourful history that is still preserved in the many landmarks that are located all over the town. Tourists usually visit such attractions as the Church of St Lazare from the 12th century which also houses the relic of Saint Lazare. Also worth exploring is the Tour de L'Horloge and the statue of Vauban, Louis XIV's military engineer.

From there, visitors can venture out with their cheap car hire in Avallon to the east to Semur-en-Auxois. The city is a medieval town located at the centre of Cote d'Or.
