Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Castres is well known for being the birthplace of the socialist leader jean Jaures. It is located in southern France in the Midi-Pyrenées region. While it does not offer much in terms of tourist spots, it does provide an ideal travel base for exploring the rest of the region. using a car rental in Castres, tourists can easily get around the region and take day trips around some of the most popular travel destinations in the area.

An hour's drive down south, for instance, will take travellers to the town of Carcassonne. This is a somewhat overlooked destination in France but it offers interesting historic attractions such as a fortress that was built on the ruins predating Christianity. Tourists can even witness medieval jousting displays while they are in town.

Another option is to head east using a cheap car hire in Castres and drive an hour to Toulouse, another interesting city with a lot of historic and cultural attractions. The best collections of fine art and artefacts are housed in museums such as the Georges Labit Museum, the Les Abattoirs Modern Arts Museum and the Les Jacobins.
