Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Immerse yourself in a calmer environment in the suburbs of Paris where you can take a break or be isolated from the busy atmosphere of the city centre. Head to the northwestern suburb to find Cergy, a town that stands about 27.8 kilometres from the heart of Paris. Cergy sits in Cergy-Pontoise, a newer town established in the 60s.

Get around easily in town with car hire in Cergy. Some of the sights to see in town include the Port Cergy, which is the marina situated on the Oise River. The area is home to some residential units, a boating school, and recreational yachts. You can also find some shops and restaurants in its northern section.

Both young and older travellers can benefit from visiting Cergy. Aside from letting you stay in a quieter environment, you can easily get to Paris in 40 minutes via the A15 with cheap car hire in Cergy. Alternatively, Cergy is a good starting point to visit the other regions that are outside of Paris yet easily accessible if you are driving.

For a day trip, see the palace in Versailles, which is about 40 minutes if you drive through the A15 and the A86.
