Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Chamonix is a pretty famous resort in France located in the French Alps just at the foot of Mont Blanc. If you are sports minded, then this place might be just the one for you. You can do a lot of fun activities here while you're at it like skiing, hiking or even mountain climbing. There are loads of ski areas available for the tourists in Chamonix. You can go for Vallee blanche for some easy courses but you'll probably need a guide to get things started. If you want something a lot easier, try the courses on the Brevent or the la Flegere. They have the easiest courses among all the ski areas in Chamonix, perfect for beginners. Les Houches is also a fine ski resort. This will be the perfect place to take your family to if you guys love skiing. If you are somewhat professional in skiing, you might as well go for the more extreme courses in Chamonix. One of the most extreme courses is the one that could be found on the Grand Montets so get ready for some fun. Of course, there are other more things to do here in Chamonix, what would really help you in getting around town would be a car. To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
