Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Gien is a pretty riverside town in central France, around 130kms south of the capital Paris and also well within reach of old Orleans. It is on the Loire River in nice surroundings, making it beneficial to pick up car hire in Gien.

This once royal commune has a fine disposition on the Loire River and is especially known for its production of high quality ceramics and for its cheap car hire in Gien. It has many intriguing old buildings that have seen much rebuilding after heavy bombing during WWII.

The International Museum of Hunting (Musée International de la Chasse) is the main architectural and education highlight. It resides in grand chateau that hails from the 15th century and features many fascinating exhibits, including a large variety of armaments and ceramics. The museum also lays on a presentation of methods for crockery manufacture.

Another top sight which can be seen with car rental in Gien is the nearby Company Gien Ceramics Museum (Musee de la Faïencerie), which shows you how the items are churned out, while the church and castle of Arrabloy are also worth a look.
