Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Location information for Hirson

The small commune of Hirson is located in the north of France in the Picardie region of the country. Belgium is only a few miles to the north and car hire at Hirson means that you can get to Belgium with ease for a daytrip.

There is little to do in Hirson except to sit back and relax or explore the few old buildings and the town centre. There are a couple of nice cafés that many enjoy sitting in during the warm days in the summer but the majority of people who stay here will fit a trip to Belgium into their stay.

Fewer than 13,000 people reside in the town and there is a railway station in the town that is often used to get around the area. The nearest large city is Saint Quentin, only 25kms to the west, but the more popular tourist destination of Lille is only 45kms to the northwest and many people will choose to use cheap car hire at Hirson to get to this large neighbour.
