Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

The small town of Morteau lies in the east of France, close to the border with Switzerland. The history of the area dates back to around Roman times when there were many different invaders from different civilisations claiming the land for their own. Today, it is a great ski resort and summer holiday destination located in the final plateau before the border.

Cheap car hire in Morteau is a great way to get around during the winter months to the surrounding ski locations. There are a large variety of slopes ranging from beginner to expert close by, as well as some excellent ski schools.

The area is well-know for it clock-making, being so close to Switzerland. In town you can find a museum that tells the story of clocks and their connection with the town. Another famous local tradition is the making of the Morteau sausage. It is a very dense, but otherwise a normal tasting treat that you will find in most restaurants.

With a car rental in Morteau you can head into town from your hotel or lodge and try your hand at some ice skating to build up your appetite for dinner. Follow that up with a trip to the movies or dance the night away in the nightclub.
