Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

The picturesque town of Saumur is located in north-eastern France, near the German border. This is the perfect place to explore and those who have take out car hire in Saumur will be able to drive to a number of nearby French towns and cities as well as hopping across the border into Germany.

Standing high about the town is the Chateau de Saumur, which was originally built in the 10th century by the comte de Bois, Thibault le Tricheur, this castle was originally used as a fortified stronghold to protect the town against Norman invasion.
