Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Cherbourg Rail Station is one of the most common entry points into the small town f Cherbourg-Octeville in northern France. The station is served by regular trains coming through the Paris-Saint Lazare route that goes through Caen. Local trains from other parts of the region also stop at the station. This makes it a common travel base for those coming from other parts of France.
