You can get to and from the airport terminal by airport cab, bus or car. There are currently eight car hire companies working out of Shannon Airport, they are Avis Rent a Car, Budget Rent a Car, Dollar Thrifty, Dooley Car Rentals, Europcar, Hertz Rent a Car, Irish Car Rentals and National Car Rental. Each offer a variety of cheap car hire and all offers pick up and drop off of your rental from the airport itself.

Airport Facilities

There are many facilities available at Shannon Airport to adhere to your traveling needs. They have a postal box on site for mailing letters and post cards. You will have to ship your packages at another location before arriving at Shannon Airport. There are change facilities at four different locations throughout the airport terminal, and three ATMs that dispense multiple currencies. There are a few pubs and restaurants at Shannon Airport, The Estuary Cafe, Marsh Point Bar, The Coffee Exchange and The Sheridan Bar, which is open 24 hours a day. Shannon Airport offers it's passengers places to shop such as Londis Shop, Celtic Memories, Hughes and Hughes as well as Travel Value and Duty Free Shop that stays open 24 hours daily.

There is a small place designated for prayer at the airport terminal. Mass is held every Sunday morning.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).
