Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

In 2010, General Juan N Álvarez International Airport was the first stop for more than 737,000 visitors to one of Mexico's oldest and most famous tourist destinations. The heart of Acapulco lies 16 miles from the airport along a scenic highway with car hire in Acapulco Airport. Acapulco Airport facilities

The older of the two airport terminals is a 1960s circular building which handles general aviation, but most passengers use the newer passenger terminal. Each March and April, millions of North American teenagers and university students descend upon Acapulco to party and soak up the sun during their school holidays. Visitors wishing to avoid this crowded party scene should come to Acapulco during the beginning of its dry season, in November, or towards the end of the dry season, in May. Acapulco's June to October rainy season is even less crowded, but most downpours are brief and mainly occur at night.
