Eindhoven is the fifth biggest municipality in The Netherlands and it has some interesting sights and activities to entertain and educate visitors who are traveling here for the first time.

One interesting fact about this town of Eindhoven is that this is actually where electronics pioneer, Philips, was created and launched. While major operations of the company have been moved elsewhere, the first building that housed Philips still stands and you may pay a visit here to see where it all began.

The city's museum of contemporary art, the Stedelijik Van Abbe Museum, has some of the works of Pablo Picasso, Wassily Kandinsky and Marc Chagall. A museum of a different kind, the Historical Open-Air Museum showcases evidences of civilization back in the Iron and Medieval Ages.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
