Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

The commune of Saintes is situated in the department of Charente-Maritime on the western coast of France. Saintes is a busy town with lots of historical attractions. The town dates back from the Roman times. Car hire in Saintes is a great way to see the town and its attractions.

Saintes is a centre of tourism and culture. Visitors come to Saintes to enjoy the rich heritage and the charming atmosphere. The houses lined on the streets of the older part of town add to the appeal of Saintes. The buildings are characterised by the limestone construction and detailed adornment.

The most impressive houses in the old town are known as ‘hotels' and date back between the 17th and 18th century. The Hotel Presidial was built in 1605 and is now used as a Fine Arts Museum. The Hotel de Monconseil is now the Dupuy Mestreau Museum and was built in 1738 on the Charente's banks.

There are several lovely houses that were constructed in the 18th century by wealthy merchants, such as the Hotel Rouyer Guillet. The Villa Musso is a beautiful private house that is now used as the tourist office. With car rental in Saintes you can easily visit these places.
